PEMRA took action on the content of Dil na umeed toh nahi

Pemra issued a notice to TV one channel about reviewing the content of their drama serial Dil na umeed toh nahi. On the 23rd of February, PEMRA took action on the content of the drama and issued a notice to the channel about its content, and gave the warning to review their content as it violates the PEMRA code of conduct.

Previously, PEMRA issued notice to drama serial Jalan and Ticktok show of Bol Network. But due to some circumstances and events, PEMRA took back its decision. And both shows successfully ran on their channel.

And due to this behavior, PEMRA faced criticism from public and media person. People are highly criticized for such decisions of Pemra.

PEMRA already banned re telecast of Pyar kay sadkay and drama serial Ishqia on their channels. According to PEMRA these dramas violent the code of conduct and PEMRA policies.

The Drama serial Dil na umeed toh nahi is written by Amna Mufti and directed by Kashif Nasir. And the story dealt with three generations of characters. One family is of 2008 where a boy is humiliated and gone in the hand of bad hands. 2nd family is conservative where girls are not allowed by their families to study. And the present family, girls are dealt with the modern dark side of society.

Dil na umeed toh nahi raise awareness about human trafficking, social stigma, the dark side of modern society, girl’s right to education, etc.

The drama is made up with the collaboration of Kashf Foundation who already made the drama in the past in which Udaari, Rehaai, and Akhri station are included.
